Bell Ringing: Longest Peal Rung: 50,400. David Pipe, Andrew Tibbetts and Philip Earis (UK) have broken the 41-year-old world record for the longest peal ever rung. Their new record for the greatest number of changes in a peal is 50,400. The attempt lasted for 17 hours and 6 minutes and took place October 2, 2004, at the Ancient Society of College Youths in Coventry. BOAR
